Advanced Ceramic Materials

Advanced ceramic materials are now well established in many areas of every day use, and it has been widely used in daily life. This new class of ceramic materials will provide a unique combination of high-temperature stability, corrosion resistance, and toughness necessary for a wide range of applications where improvements in energy efficiency, environmental protection, ballistic protection, lifetime operating and performance are desired.
These are made of advanced, high-tech ceramic called Zirconium Oxide (also called Zirconia). Zirconia is second in hardness only to diamond and was originally developed for industrial applications. Zirconia is extremely hard, wear resistant, and chemically inert. It brings a lot of benefits compare to traditional steel knife. It is much lighter than stainless steel (even lighter than titanium).
It can be used for months or even years without resharpening. The ceramic blade will not stain, rust, roll at the edge, or impart any metallic taste or smell of food. They are chemically insert, so there is no chance of a chemical reaction affecting the taste of food, and no metallic taste at all. With the lightweight and easy to use, it is the choice for a healthy modern lifestyle.
